E’Lois Thomas, Ph.D., is the president of SEEL, LLC (Solutions for Energy Efficient Logistics), a nationally certified minority business enterprise (MBE). SEEL partners with utilities nationwide to provide energy audits, weatherization upgrades, electrification projects, rebate processing, and workforce development. Under Dr. Thomas's leadership, SEEL has become one of the largest African American-owned implementation contractors in the nation.

A highly analytical leader, Dr. Thomas excels at building relationships and guiding teams toward corporate objectives. Her efforts earned SEEL recognition as the 20th fastest-growing women-owned business by the Women Presidents’ Organization in 2023 and the Supplier of the Year award from MMSDC.

Dr. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in business from Northcentral University, an MBA from Walsh College, and a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Detroit Mercy. Her research focuses on the sustainability of small and medium enterprises, emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion. She completed the Yale School of Management's executive education program in women leadership and is a six-sigma black belt professional.

In addition to her role at SEEL, she chairs the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance and serves on multiple boards, including the Detroit Police Athletic League and RESULTS Mentoring. Recognized for her contributions, Dr. Thomas has received numerous awards, including the Notable Women in Finance by Crain’s and Enterprising Woman of the Year in 2024.
